Dr. Raymond Gove operated a dental practice adjacent to this building, and the opportunity to expand into the neighboring space provided the additional square footage needed to support ongoing growth. The former fitness facility allowed for a larger clinical footprint while keeping the practice rooted in a familiar location for existing patients. Dr. Gove wanted the new space to feel clean, modern, and welcoming, while maintaining continuity with the practice’s established brand.

Project Goals

As a single-use building, the primary challenge was converting a former fitness facility into two separate tenant spaces, with the main focus on Gove Family Dentistry. The layout needed to support efficient clinical flow, updated equipment requirements, and revised egress paths to meet current codes. Coordinating these changes while working within the existing structure required careful planning to balance patient circulation, staff workflow, and shared building constraints.

Our Solutions

Progress Studio worked closely with Dr. Gove and his dental equipment vendor to reconfigure the interior layout and establish a clear, functional flow throughout the practice. The design introduces crisp architectural lines, integrated ceiling details, and layered lighting to create a calm and organized environment for patients and staff.

Subtle blue tones were incorporated into flooring, wall finishes, and feature elements to reflect Gove Family Dentistry’s branding, while neutral cabinetry and clean surfaces support long term clinical use. The reception area is anchored by a refined desk and soft lighting that creates a welcoming first impression, while corridors and treatment spaces maintain consistent materials and lighting for easy navigation.

The result is a bright, modern dental environment that supports the practice’s growth while transforming a former fitness space into a purposeful and cohesive healthcare setting.
