Summary of Client
Indiana Chin Baptist Church, representing the Chin Baptist faith community in Indianapolis, faced the challenge of accommodating its rapidly growing congregation. To meet their needs, they sought to expand their campus with a dedicated education wing, complementing the existing main sanctuary and multipurpose building. The expansion reflects the church’s commitment to fostering educational and spiritual growth within their community.

Project Goals
The primary objective was to create a functional, welcoming space for educational and spiritual activities while preserving the limited site area. The design needed to house multiple classrooms, a student chapel, a playroom, and support spaces, all while ensuring room for future growth. Challenges included maintaining fire safety compliance through rated exterior wall construction and integrating the addition seamlessly with the existing structures.

Our Solutions
Progress Studio delivered a cost-effective design that maximized functionality and efficiency. By carefully navigating fire safety requirements and minimizing site impact, the team ensured a seamless expansion. The design incorporated flexible layouts for classrooms and chapel spaces, supporting both current needs and future growth. Thoughtful planning allowed for natural light and optimized circulation, enhancing the overall environment for learning, play, and worship.

This addition not only fulfills the immediate needs of Indiana Chin Baptist Church but also sets the foundation for continued service to their expanding congregation.
