Senior Leader

Project Architect / Project Manager

The Project Architect / Project Manager is a senior leadership role at Progress Studio, built for an architect with 8+ years of experience running commercial projects end to end. You'll own the schedule, the drawing set, and the client relationship — from the first programming conversation to a stamped permit set to a finished building. This seat carries real authority over how projects get run, not just a piece of the design process.

Overview

The Role

The Project Architect / Project Manager runs projects and delegates tasks to the rest of the team. That means owning the project schedules, coordinating the drawing sets, and nurturing the client relationships that keep clients loving us. Other aspects of the role include maintaining project schedules through client and consultant portals, developing and coordinating project scopes and fees with the principal architect, keeping the Revit model clean, and making the calls that keep a project buildable and on budget. This is a senior leadership role with long-term leadership responsibility. You'll run multiple concurrent projects, coordinate consultant and engineering disciplines across each one, review construction documents for accuracy and code compliance, and serve as one of the main faces of Progress Studio to clients and contractors. After eight-plus years in the field, you know the difference between a smooth project and a painful one usually gets decided long before construction starts — and this role gives you the authority to act on it. Progress Studio is small enough that the person running the project is also the person drawing it and sitting in the OAC meeting. This role will be very involved in almost every aspect of our projects.
