Progress Studio Awarded 2024 AIA Indiana Award

We are excited to announce that Progress Studio has been awarded the 2024 AIA Indiana Emerging Professional Friendly Firm Award. The AIA Indiana EP Friendly Firm award is a newly established annual designation approved by the AIA Indiana Board of Directors this year.

The goal of this program is to celebrate firms that offer exceptional support and opportunities for their early professionals. Additionally, the program seeks to foster a dialogue within firms across the State of Indiana with the objective of creating new workplace policies and practices that promote innovation, development, and progressive work environments for the future members of the design profession. An “early professional”, or EP, is defined as someone who is part of the architectural staff, has been working in the architectural profession for 10 years or less, and fills one of the following roles: architectural student intern, recent graduate, unlicensed emerging professional, or recently licensed architect.

Participation in this program is voluntary, and firms have the flexibility to withdraw at any point. It includes that participating firms uphold the policies and practices outlined during their submission throughout the duration of the designation.

Progress Studio’s ability to attract and retain early professionals sends a message to future employees and other local and regional firms that we have evaluated our policies and recognize that exceptional talent is valued here while aiming to sustain future growth within our team. We provide several opportunities for our designers to participate in our workplace benefits programs which include annually paid AIA dues, reimbursed professional development education, and paid professional development and volunteer work hours. We commit to providing our team with the best environment to thrive whether it be exposure to various industry vendors, collaboration with fellow design firms, or advancing an individual’s higher education.
